Ernest Bai Koroma wins the Sierra Leone presidential elections.
|
Since no candidate won more than 55% of the vote in the first-round of the presidential elections held on August 11, 2007, a run-off between the top two candidates, the All People’s Congress’ Ernest Koroma, who garnered 44% of the votes, and the Sierra Leone People’s Party’s Solomon Berewa, who garnered 38% of the votes, took place on September 8, 2007.
